Big Money Matches
We at Nicely Netted are organising four x one day matches for 2008 with BIG prize money. All the matches need a minimum of 40 angler’s to make it a success but the more entries the bigger the prizes.
The venue is the same for all four matches. All the matches will be held at the rural hotel which has its own private dam; it is situated in the Alentejo region and is 1.5 hours drive from either Lisbon or Faro airport. The hotel can accommodate fifty clients.

The hotel is also offering Half Board at an extra €15 per head per night and it is excellent value for money as the food and hospitality is fantastic. If you choose to bring your bivvy over, the cost to stay ‘bank-side’ is €10 per night per bivvy payable on arrival.
The hotel will cater for up to 50 guests and is well equipped for the angler who loves his food and beer. Photos of the Hotel can be found in our gallery. All competitors are welcome to take advantage of the Hotel’s breakfast and bar areas prior to and after each match or any time during their stay at the hotel. The hotel will charge their own prices for these services.

Airport transfers can be arranged from Lisbon or Faro airport. The cost for a return airport transfer is €50 payable on collection.
Important Information
All entries must be booked two months before the match date so it gives all the competitors time to book their flights and car hire. Please do not book any flights or car hire until you are advised to by Peter Lucas or a known employee of Nicely Netted. This is just in case we have to cancel any matches due to lack of interest. Rules
- The days will consist of 1 x 5 hour session each day.
- There will be a limit of two rods per angler at any one time.
- We recommend you travel a day early as the draw will be at 8am on the first morning.
- There are no age limits to fish the match, although any angler’s 16 or under must be accompanied by either parent or guardian.
- All anglers wishing to take part should hold a valid fishing license which we will obtain for you if needed. The cost of this is included in the entry fee.
- Flights and car hire must be arranged by you if needed.
- All competitors must have already booked
- To enter, you must book no less than 2 months prior to the match.
- A list of all ‘booked on’ anglers will then be taken to the ‘Match Day’
- All fish caught during the match must be retained in the Carp ‘keep net’ provided. The fish have not to be retained in slings, bags or buckets. Fish will only be weighed if in the appropriate nets.
- All fish must be alive when weighed. Dead fish will be discarded.
- Once your fish have been weighed by the judge the fish will be returned to the water.
- Finally, your peg area must be kept clean and free from rubbish at all times.
- Any competitor found to ignore any of the competition rules will forfeit any prizes or fees that may be owed to him or her and black listed from taking part in any future matches.
